Franca Warmenhoven
Franca Warmenhoven (1977) has been practicing both aikido and meditation since she was 19. Her meditation practice started in the Zen Buddhist tradition (including Ad van Dun, Genpo Roshi, Adyashanti). In addition to following various mindfulness trainer courses at home and abroad, she has studied and meditated with various teachers from the Vipassana tradition (including Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield, Frits Koster, Joost van den Heuvel). She experiences the practice as a stable and powerful support in daily life.
She currently works as a researcher in palliative care. She also works as a lecturer for medical students at Maastricht University, where she is involved in education about communication, elderly care, palliative care, loneliness, planetary health and dementia-friendly society.
She is also a mindfulness trainer and educator at SeeTrue.
Franca lives in the Limburg hills with her husband, 3-year-old daughter and their two dogs.
