Steve Lauwers
Stef Hosan Lauwers (Maaseik 1964) is a Zen teacher in the tradition of the International Zen Center de Noorder Poort. He obtained a master's degree in Religious Studies (KU Leuven) and continued his studies in Cultural Anthropology and Spiritual Care. He also completed the mindfulness trainer training (RadboudUMC). His career includes roles as a university lecturer in philosophy of life, Buddhist spiritual counselor in the justice system and lecturer in Buddhist spiritual care at the Vrije Universiteit. He currently works as a spiritual counselor in a number of nursing homes in Amstelveen. His daily activities focus on guidance and support in cases of illness, old age and the end of life.
