“Honey, life is like snow. You can't keep it!"
(Herman van Veen)
Even though most people prefer not to think about their own mortality, it is inevitable that this is the case for each of us. From January 16, 2025, Irène Bakker will once again give the 4-week Live Course 'Living with Dying'.
Points of interest will include:
- What really matters in my life?
- Can a lived awareness of impermanence be an invitation to live this precious, sometimes painful life to the fullest?
- How do I deal with fear of the death of myself or loved ones?
- How is death and dying viewed in Buddhism?
- How do I actually want to live 'between now…… and then'?
- For everyone – young and old – who wants to reflect on this important theme.
- Also instructive for professionals or hospice workers.
- You enjoy experiential learning and deepening your knowledge.
- And are curious about the Buddhist approach to dying and death.
- Theoretical prior knowledge or experience with meditation is not necessary.
On Thursdays you will get access to a new weekly page with a recorded lecture, inspiring quotes and exercises around the theme of that week, which you can work on independently.
The weekly pages can also be viewed at a time of your choosing.
On Tuesdays from 19.30:21.00 PM to 21.30:XNUMX PM there is an online 'live' session (extends until XNUMX:XNUMX PM), with room for joint exercises, exchange of information about the lecture, questions and working in small groups in 'break out rooms'.
These Zoom sessions are well secured and are only accessible to the course participants and the live host Elsbeth, van 30NOW, who is there for technical support.
