The duration of a Live Meditation is usually 30 minutes. The Live Meditation on Monday evening will also be concluded with a question and answer moment.

Zoom struggled with cyber-attacks during Zoom Meetings in 2020 that could be highly disruptive. Today, Zoom has taken many measures and greatly improved security. Bee 30NOW we will use Zoom Webinar from April 25, 2021. This application cannot or hardly be influenced negatively by outsiders. This is partly because with Zoom Webinar, the participant cannot activate video or audio himself.

During the daily live meditations and the live lecture on Sundays, only the accompanist can be heard and seen. As a participant you can respond via the chat!

For live sessions of Live Courses you can also (if desired) switch on your own camera and microphone.

During the daily Live Meditation and the Live Lecture (on Sunday) the participants are not visible to anyone. This is because the default settings of the Zoom webinar are set so that only the facilitator is visible.

Participants are sometimes given the option to turn on their camera and microphone so that they can communicate with the facilitator and other participants. However, the default setting is that participants' camera and microphone are turned off, so you can only listen and meditate. The attendant is of course visible and audible.

During the daily live meditations and lectures you can now benefit from live subtitles. This way you can follow everything that is said in text form. This makes participation even more accessible! Simply activate the subtitles with a click or press 'CC' during the session. Please note that automatic subtitling is not always error-free, but we believe it is a valuable addition to enrich your experience. We hope you're excited about this new addition.

When participating with a PC, Mac or laptop, the number of live participants will be displayed at the top of your Zoom window during the daily Live Meditations and the weekly Live Lectures.
This function may not yet be available on smartphones and tablets (i.e. mobile devices) and the number of live participants will therefore not be displayed. Still curious about the number of live participants? Share it via chat!

The sound and picture quality may vary per live session. The local internet connection and the equipment of the accompanying person are of influence. In addition, your local internet connection and hardware/equipment can also influence the quality.

• The local Zoom microphone settings at the attendant. For example, with Zoom an automatic noise reduction is active as standard, which makes loud background noises less audible. This means that the sound of a gong or bell is sometimes less fully audible.

Zoom Meetings and Zoom Webinar are both Zoom products, but with different purposes and functions. Below are the main differences between these two products:

1. Purpose: Zoom Meetings is intended for group interaction where everyone can turn on their camera and microphone. Zoom Webinar is designed as a facilitator/speaker for a large group of participants to present with image and sound, whereby participants only respond via chat (and therefore cannot hear or see other participants).
2. Participants: In Zoom Meetings the participants can actively participate by speaking and chatting, while in Zoom Webinar the participants act as spectators and can only watch, listen and chat.
3. Presentations: With Zoom Meetings, multiple participants can come into view, while with Zoom Webinar there is only one facilitator/speaker and the rest of the participants only act as audience.
4. Features: Zoom Meetings offers features such as screen sharing, recording, chat, and virtual backgrounds, while Zoom Webinar has additional features such as Q&A sessions and pre-participation questions.
5. Security: Both products offer security features such as password protection and password protection, but Zoom Webinar offers additional security options such as participant registration and authentication.

In general, Zoom Meetings is aimed at smaller groups, while Zoom Webinar is aimed at larger groups and public presentations.

The substantive line that we at 30NOW Following is a contemporary approach to Buddhist meditation. Central is the practice of mindfulness or attention: an acknowledging awareness of physical and mental experiences.
