Finding Life Fulfillment through Mindfulness and the Ten Perfections

In Buddhist psychology ten beneficial qualities or virtues are mentioned, which can beautify the well-being of ourselves and of the world in which we live. You might consider these ten spiritual companions, officially called the ten "perfections" (or pāramī in Pali), as forerunners of contemporary positive psychology, which focuses on well-being and optimal functioning. It concerns the following virtues:
- Wisdom
- Generosity
- Ethics and Discipline
- Renunciation and simplification
- Patience and Forbearance
- Commitment, dedication
- determination and steadfastness; courage
- Truthfulness and reality fidelity; integrity
- Kindness and benevolence
- equanimity
In this course (via Zoom) one of the ten life-fulfilling companions will always be central, in theory, in practice in how they relate to each other and how they can enrich our lives.
This Live Course is intended for anyone who is already somewhat familiar with the practice of mindfulness and wants to enrich their life with the ten spiritual companions.
The Live course consists of ten sessions on Tuesday evenings from 19.30:21.00 PM to ± XNUMX:XNUMX PM. During the live sessions, one of the ten perfections is always discussed. After a meditation exercise, a lecture is given in which the spiritual companion in question is discussed from Western perspectives (scientific research and positive psychology) and from Eastern perspectives (Buddhist psychology). There is room for exchange and at the end of the sessions suggestions for practice in daily life are provided.
