We are happy to share that Erik van den Brink will again give the Live Course 'Compassion for all AGES' from July 14 to August 23, due to the positive reactions after the previous edition. We also invite you to watch Manu Kreise's lecture on the subject of 'Helping each other with loss and grief'. We also have a book tip, live tips for next Sunday, a handy new feature exclusively for members and we're giving a preview of some other courses that will take place.
You will find all this in this newsletter of 3 June.

“Compassion for All AGES” – July 14

A lot is coming at us: crisis, climate change, extinction of plants and animals, depletion of raw materials, pandemic, war. Stress and burnout are increasing, confidence in politics and the economy is declining. Is there still a viable future for our children?

Humans are destructive as well as creative and compassionate. For a sustainable future, we must adapt our way of life, prioritize well-being and serve nature. This crisis offers an opportunity to bring out the best in ourselves.

Developed with Frits Koster Erik van den Brink a compassion training as a follow-up to mindfulness, with international interest. Now Erik offers the online 'Compassion for all AGES'. How can we deepen compassion and treat ourselves, each other and the earth in a healthier way? We practice, reflect and exchange, inspired by wisdom, science, nature, art and culture.

The course is intended for everyone. It's about LIFE in capital letters, for all ages. In crisis we face big questions about who we are and where we want to go. What is of value to future generations? How can we be open-minded in the world? How can we deal with pain, desires and insecurities? Will you join us on this journey of discovery? You are very welcome!

live tip

For Sunday, June 4 we would like to invite you to participate in the morning meditation given by Frits Koster.

Later in the evening you can join the lecture by Ciska Matthes, in which she will talk about ”The good sitting':

Today attention to the physical meditation posture. If we want our mind to be still and clear, it helps if our body position corresponds to that. We look at how to build a good and pleasant attitude. We hear what the ancient Zen masters said about it. With tips for stretching exercises to sit more easily. So that we can sit like a mountain: firm and effortless.

Daily Live Meditation & Lectures are offered on a dana/ free donations.

The book of everyday koans

In addition to Eve Myonen Marko's lecture shared above, we would also like to point out 'The book of everyday koans'. It shows that we are constantly confronted with challenging and abrasive situations in our daily lives.

The koans disrupt our usual way of thinking and encourage us to stop being safely on the sidelines as observers, but to confidently embrace everyday life, however unpredictable and fragile it may be.

Similar meditations and lectures

See from now on January similar meditations and lectures at the bottom of each review page. This means you no longer have to search for new meditations or readings that fit your interests and needs.

Other upcoming courses

In addition to a new extensive beginner's series by Guido Scholte, later this month, we will soon be introducing two other exciting courses.

The course 'Mindful Aging' by Franca Warmenhoven and Frits Koster and Joyce Cordus teach the course 'Forgiveness'.

In addition, keep space in your agenda for the last week of this year, for an online retreat with Annetje Brunner.
