Live Lecture Scheduled: On Embodied Meditation – The Psychological Body
Live Lecture: On Embodied Meditation – The Psychological Body.
I signed up here on May 17th. 30NOW, within the framework of embodied meditation, a lecture on the instinctive body.
In tonight's lecture, I want to look at another body: the psychological body.
Often, we are unknowingly prisoners of our own psychology and act out our patterns instead of examining them. We are constantly pulled and pushed by the (usually unhelpful) conversations in our heads.
Who doesn't know it: We constantly recount, analyze, and judge our experiences. The greater part of our inner monologue is the usual blah-blah-blah, but if you look at it a little longer and listen a little more closely, you discover that all of this actually serves a few very powerful functions.
It creates your self-image, functions as self-affirmation, and measures you against self-criticism.
That is what tonight's lecture is about.
Welcome!
