Another World is Possible

Amy Miller

As we emerge from the global Covid experience, the path may seem littered with confusion, depression, anxiety, and alienation. Rather than grow dismayed by external experiences that show cruelty and heartlessness, how can we use our vulnerability to effectively channel this energy into a more supportive practice?
This talk explores a path of inner transformation with specific information about Tibetan Buddhist practices. By opening our hearts in kindness to ourselves and others, the potential exists for our external reality to shift more beneficially as well.

Amy J. Miller has been ordained as a Buddhist nun in the Tibetan tradition of the Dalai Lama. She has spent a great deal of time engaged in meditation retreats, study, teaching, and Buddhist center management. Before studying Buddhism, Amy was a political fundraiser and also trained as a hospice counselor during the peak of the AIDS epidemic.
